New Distributor Contract Signals Titian’s Commitment to China
Nov 19 2013
Sample management software provider, Titian Software, is making strategic investments in China to support the growing global popularity of its Mosaic sample management software. As part of this, Titian has recently granted exclusive distribution rights to LBD Life Sciences, who will represent Titian’s Mosaic in China and provide a more accessible support service for Chinese customers. Based in Shanghai, a dedicated Application Support Specialist with advanced technical and operational knowledge of Mosaic will be on-hand, providing new and existing users with a local contact for readily available help and expertise.
Titian continues its successful expansion in the Far East, and last year saw the integration of Mosaic software into another three major Chinese research institutions and commercial R&D facilities, with further sites under discussion. The new distributorship agreement allows LBD Life Sciences China to respond to the growing demand for an efficient sample management set-up, and explore further opportunities for Mosaic with Chinese customers.
Commenting on the evolving implementation of the Mosaic sample management software in Asia, Edmund Wilson, Titian’s CEO, said: “Mosaic has been designed to provide comprehensive and reliable sample management for sites worldwide. In the US and Europe it has been established as the de facto standard in sample management for several years and its increasing uptake in Asia - and especially China - is proof of its impact and suitability for global operations. We are keen to further expand the reach of Mosaic, and our new agreement with LBD Life Sciences will allow us to give our Chinese customers the same level of support as that enjoyed by our customers in other regions.”
Mosaic software enables efficient and comprehensive management of compounds, biological collections, reagents and standards. With core modules for sample ordering, sophisticated inventory manipulation and workflow management, the latest development, Mosaic 5.0, also permits extensive integration capability with a range of automated stores and dispensing systems for maximum productivity.
