LabVantage LIMS 8.9 Release Improves Productivity and Efficiency

With the release of version 8.9 of our flagship LIMS platform and new Customer Success services, LabVantage Solutions prepares customers for a future that includes “Service-as-a-Software” – SaaS 2.0 – to tackle key challenges in today’s labs with AI-driven laboratory informatics.

LabVantage 8.9, unveiled at Pittcon 2025, includes updates that strengthen the platform’s data management efficiencies to address complex customer challenges and speed time-to-value. The updates help to overcome slow processing times, data entry errors, and the burden of managing large volumes of information while maintaining strict quality and compliance. A new Customer Success services portfolio ushers in more proactive service engagement versus traditional service agreements.

What to Expect in 8.9

Performance and efficiency are greatly improved with this release. Database management has been optimized with advanced segmentation and enhanced filtering capabilities for audit trails, which means faster data processing, better compliance, and streamlined workflows.

A new Stellar mode and interface updates provide greater usability, allowing users to tailor their experiences on custom-configured work screens, reducing distractions while finding and interacting with relevant data faster. They can also scan data directly, minimizing data entry, thus improving productivity and reducing errors.

With greater automation and hands-free capabilities, LabVantage 8.9 relieves users of repetitive tasks – like executing Configuration Management and Transfer (CMT) imports – reducing manual steps and potential errors while improving consistency. Supporting the ongoing trend for AI agents embedded in LIMS, LabVantage’s Open Talk Interactive Experience, or “Lottie,” is an AI-powered voice command that improves efficiency and accessibility for users – even those accessing through the LabVantage Portal.

Enhancements to LabVantage’s electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) and laboratory execution system (LES) – from new publishing tools and real-time auditing to consumable lot management – ease collaboration, compliance, and traceability.

A redesigned Stability module offers protocol versioning, multi-plan management, and summary reports to improve testing efficiency and decision-making, regardless of your industry.
