Asteral Strengthens Management Team

Asteral, a leading managed equipment services (MES) provider to the NHS, has appointed Jason Long, Business Development Manager; Adrian Waller, Radiology Service Development Manager; and Christopher Langley as non-executive Director.
Christopher Langley was a non-executive Director of North Middlesex University Hospitals NHS Trust and is an experienced business leader with significant board level experience in private companies and the NHS. He is the turnaround Chairman at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals Foundation Trust, appointed by the regulator Monitor to lead the transformation of the Trust.
Jason Long, an expert in diagnostic imaging, began his career as a Diagnostic Radiographer and gained experience in all imaging modalities finally specialising in MRI. Moving to the commercial sector he was Account Manager for Kodak Health imaging, before joining GE Healthcare where he most recently he was an Executive Account Manager tasked with building a simplified cross business customer growth strategy for all of GE Healthcare businesses. Long’s responsibilities at Asteral will be to drive business growth with new and existing customers.
Adrian Waller joins Asteral as Radiology Service Development Manager with responsibility for developing company strategy for delivering radiology services to its customers, both now and in the future. Adrian started his career as an aerospace engineer and has spent the last 14 years in service management roles in a number of different sectors and global markets. Most recently Waller was Regional Operations Manager for Philips Healthcare overseeing the service business in the Southern region of the UK.
Commenting on the appointments, Asteral Managing Director, Mike Dix, said: “The NHS is undergoing a period of rapid transformation with a need to drive efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality. The experience, knowledge and energy that these individuals bring to the company will undoubtedly play a key role in helping us meet the opportunities that lie ahead.”
