A New Heat Sealer Offers Sample Security in Low to Medium Sample Throughput Applications
Apr 23 2008
The ALPS 50V has improved sealing parameters by allowing variable time and temperature settings. A working temperature range of 125-200oC, with 1oC increments, allows optimal sealing temperatures to be reached.
Utilising the optimised temperature for each seal ensures that samples are protected for use in downstream applications. The end of each sealing cycle is marked with an audible notification. This helps to eliminate under or over-sealing of the plate, thus avoiding any variability in sample protection. Traditional manual heat sealers
cannot control this variability (which is normally caused by operator inconsistency).
The counter lever sealing action is an improved ergonomic design that generates consistent and even pressure across the entire plate. This new design ensures even sealing across the plate, so that samples are not compromised. Operator strain is also reduced, as unnecessary force for sealing the plate is no longer required.
ALPS 50V is stable on the bench and is CE-marked.
