What are the Best New Products for Weathering and Corrosion Testing?

Q-Lab Corporation, a global leader in accelerated weathering and corrosion test equipment and test services, is excited to announce the launch of three new products - Q-SUN® ‘E’ model xenon test chambers, Q-FOG CRH with Rapid Ramp Heater capabilities (-HSCR model), and QUV/uvc accelerated weathering testers.

The new Q-SUN ‘E’ model xenon test chambers allow users to test at  higher irradiance and/or longer lamp lifetimes - up to 3000 hours at standard irradiances and 1000 hours at high irradiances - through the use of new ‘plus’ lamps. ‘E’ model Q-SUN test chambers now feature dual, full-colour touchscreen displays in 8 languages, with more languages coming soon. Other new features include a multi-colour status LED for enhanced message notifications at a glance, direct compatibility with Universal Calibrator temperature and irradiance smart-sensors, wireless black panel sensors, and improved styling with new silver paint.

With new Rapid Ramp Heater capabilities, the Q-FOG CRH tester can now meet specialised test conditions that call for exceptionally fast temperature ramping. It can perform all tests from major international standards bodies and OEM's, including JASO M609, CCT-I, and CCT-IV, even with a fully-loaded chamber. The new Rapid Ramp Heater also allows for improved corrosion test process variable control.

The new QUV/uvc accelerated weathering tester uses UVC lamps to deliver light concentrated at 254 nm. This enables testing for material durability against photodegradation effects resulting from exposure to UVC light, which is used widely in ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI). Although UVGI eliminates harmful viruses and bacteria, it can also cause degradation of plastics, leather, textiles, coatings, and other materials that the QUV/uvc tester can help evaluate.
