New Chemiluminescence system for western blot analysis from Labcare

Aug 28 2014

Labcare are pleased to offer the new Biostep Celvin®S system to the UK protein analysis market.

Biostep® in Germany has developed a new chemiluminescence detection system with outstanding sensitivity and resolution. The CCD camera is placed in the base of the unit and the sample is positioned “face down” on a glass plate positioned above the camera. This is completely new approach for a system. Depending on whether the customer is looking for optimal resolution or sensitivity, biostep® offers four bespoke camera systems.

It uses a powerful, cooled CCD camera with a resolution up to 8.3Mpixel, to ensure excellent sensitivity for all chemiluminescence applications.

The darkroom area has electromagnetic locking for safety and experimental image acquisition.

The easy to use control software and data acquisition package are key features of the touch screen Celvin®S system. Offering many benefits to the user including a small bench footprint, the system is very competitively priced for the UK market.

Biostep have developed their own CCD camera systems that offer excellent resolution and sensitivity.

Celvin® S has system has four different camera models according to the user’s requirements. The EagleIce® camera is developed by biostep® and all four camera models are cooled with Peltier technology down to 30°C below ambient temperature.

The system also offers long term cost savings compared to film based systems on the market. No more films to buy, no chemicals, no developing time and no health and safety issues.
