Increased Stability and Safety when working with Laboratory Bottles and Bottle Systems

Nov 08 2013

Dispensing of liquids from media bottles is part of the daily work in many laboratories. This manual task must be carried out quickly, accurately, reproducibly, simply and, above all, safely. Especially when handling with aggressive or hazardous media. DURAN®  laboratory glassware ensures that work in the laboratory is carried out safely, precisely and smoothly. A system concept is of prime importance where the further development of products is concerned.

This is true of the high-quality, Duran Group dispensers, which make the dispensing of liquids directly from DURAN® laboratory glass bottles even easier and safer. They provide high accuracy, conform to DIN EN ISO 8655 and ensure optimum reproducibility. The thread of the Duran Group dispenser is matched to the GL 45 thread of the DURAN® laboratory glass bottle. This ensures optimum sealing and reduces any loss of media. Additionally, safe storage of the contents and protection against escaping vapour is ensured.

The new silicone bottle holder helps to stabilise bottles during such laboratory activities such as dispensing liquids with bottle mounted dispensers or connection caps, pipetting or filtration. The centre of mass of the laboratory glass bottle is set centrally in the bottle holder, which makes work comfortable and safe. The bottle is held securely in the holder by eight flexible ribs, making it suitable for use with all round and square bottles that have a diameter/edge length of approx. 75 – 120mm. In addition, the holder can be used for holding other laboratory glassware, such as tall and low beakers or filtration flasks. The bottle holder is made of chemically resistant silicone and autoclavable. Together with original DURAN® bottles or other DURAN® articles, e.g. the dispenser, the bottle holder is an essential part of daily labwork.
