Büchi’s latest instrument generation – the Nano Spray Dryer B-90 – revolutionises spray drying with an innovative technology for particle creation down to the submicron and even nanometre range from minimal
sample quantities at highest yield.
The Nano Spray Dryer B-90 has a number of key features: produces the finest particles of 300nm to 5 micron size with very narrow size distribution for new breakthroughs in R&D; dry samples in the milligram range; profit from minimal product loss due to uniquely high yields up to 90%; and saves process time thanks to quick assembly, easy cleaning and fast product change.
The Nano Spray Dryer B-90 is especially designed for the early stages of product development. It meets the requirements in the pharmaceutical, food, advanced materials and nanotechnology industries for aqueous or solvent-based solutions, nanoemulsions or nanosuspensions.
Millions of precisely sized droplets with very narrow distribution are generated every second by means of a piezoelectric driven spray head, vibrating a thin membrane with an array of micron-sized holes. The dried particles are separated by an electrostatic particle collector with excellent particle recovery rates for samples quantities within the milligram range.
