Aug 11 2017
The latest addition to the SpeciSafe® range, from Alpha Laboratories, is a pack to enclose two paediatric blood or serum tubes. This extends the existing 1, 3, 6 and 10 serum vial packs. The dual serum tube pack also includes two stands to secure tubes for opening on the bench. In addition this versatile design can accommodate a single 1.2ml Monovette tube.
The unique SpeciSafe® secondary packaging containers are proving to be very popular with users. They make compliance with the Dangerous Goods Regulations a piece of cake! Quick and easy to use, they prevent leaks to provide a safe, convenient and economical solution for UN3373 compliant mailing of biological and clinical specimens. The complete range includes solutions for screw cap microtubes, vacuum blood collection tubes, cryovials, Universal and Bijou containers, plus swabs/transport tubes.
The SpeciSafe packs provide a shock resistant protective casing for primary containers ensuring compliance to UN3373 standards when used with 95kPa vials. The simple user-friendly one piece package is quick and intuitive to use. It incorporates a unique ultra-absorbent gel block lining to soak up and retain any vial leakage, ensuring complete protection.
The clear plastic window means sample details and labels are visible and leakage can be detected prior to opening so appropriate precautions can be taken. The compliant flat pack design also reduces costs by minimising postage charges.
SpeciSafe is available as a complete ‘turnkey’ package including UN3373 labelled polyethylene and Mail Tuff padded mailing envelopes. These can even be customised and ready labelled with your logo, address, Royal Mail business reply reference etc.
