Each pipette comes fitted with a unique, self-locking, dual layer filter comprising a hydrophobic 0.8 μm membrane and a hydrophilic 0.8 μm membrane. This double-layer filter provides a barrier to particles as small as 0.1 μm. The hydrophobic membrane prevents liquid entering the Pipet-Aid whilst the hydrophilic membrane restricts airflow and effectively ‘locks’ the pipette from further use until the filter has been replaced.
