Portable Precision Balance Provides Fast, Accurate Measurement in Labs

Oct 10 2018

Suitable for use in trade, Adam Equipment’s Highland approved balances contain practical features that simplify lab work, pharmaceutical testing, biopharmaceutical testing and production, and commercial measurement of medications or herbal remedies. The Highland approved balance is ideal for any application in which products are sold by weight.

With EC Type/OIML approvals, the Highland approved balance meets the requirements for retail use in various labs, drug production facilities, or pharmacies. The Highland approved balance comes in capacities of 600g-5000g and readabilities of .1g-1g.

The Highland approved balance features sturdy construction, so it can stand up to demanding use in many settings. Fabricated of durable ABS plastic, the balance is both lightweight and simple to clean.

A vivid, backlit LCD with 18mm-high digits is readily visible in any lighting conditions, making it simple for users to view results. To easily monitor overloads, a capacity tracker is built directly into the display for convenience.

Data communication is smooth and speedy, as the Highland approved balance includes both RS-232 and USB interfaces. This allows results to be quickly transmitted to printers or saved to computers.

The Highland approved balance is powered by AC adapter or rechargeable battery, so it can be operated even if electricity is unavailable. To ensure consistently precise readings, a removable draft shield is included with the balance to help eliminate disturbances caused by breezes or that might be present in draughty indoor locations.

An internal ShockProtect® feature helps prevent damage to the balance’s internal components that might result from accidental overloads. If the balance’s capacity is exceeded, an audible overload alarm provides a warning. To help keep the balance safe, the Highland is outfitted with a built-in security slot that accommodates an optional Kensington-type lock and cable.

Density measurement and specific gravity determination are simple with the Highland's below-balance weighing feature. A hook is included with each Highland for weighing below the balance.
