Channel Reservoir Trough Plates for Multi Channel Pipettes
Aug 09 2012
JG Finneran Associates, an innovative manufacturer of sample containment products for chromatography, biotechnology and environmental analysis, has designed and manufactured 8 and 12 Channel Reservoir Trough Plates to help improve convenience and productivity in high throughput laboratories. The troughs hold liquid reagents in precise rows that align with 8 channel and 12 channel pipettes allowing researchers to simultaneously aspirate or dispense fluids in all channels. The product helps high throughput laboratories improve productivity because researchers can improve their speed and precision performing serial dilutions or dispensing different reagents in up to 12 channels.
The 8 and 12 Channel Reservoir Trough Plates are constructed of high impact plastics for durable, long-term performance. The reservoir design incorporates a v-shaped bottom with a residual volume of 200µL, reducing dead volume and minimising waste. For benchtop stability, the trough plates fit snugly on top of the Finneran 96-Well Multi-Tier™ Micro Plate System. The 8 channel plate has a total capacity of 56mL, with a 1mL to 7mL capacity per channel and is constructed of high impact polystyrene. The 12 channel plate is made from polyethylene terephthalate and has a 36mL total capacity with a trough capacity of 1mL to 3mL. Researchers will rely on these handy tools for adding samples, standards, wash, rinses, or reagents in high throughput applications that involve use of multichannel pipettes.
“Chemists and researchers manipulate more and more samples in their laboratories every day,” says Janet Cohen, International Sales and Marketing Manager, J.G Finneran Associates. “We focus on the day-to-day tasks our customers erform; handling samples, moving them back and forth, filling, emptying and storing. Our products are designed, engineered and manufactured to make that work easier,” she added.
