New software version 2024 enhances data-driven R&D
Sep 23 2024
ACD/Labs, a leading informatics company specialising in software for digitalised R&D, has announced the launch of version 2024 of its Spectrus Platform applications. This latest release aims to facilitate decision-making and collaboration for laboratory scientists, integrate AI into chemistry workflows, and help life sciences organisations optimise their data usage.
"Digitalisation is crucial for unlocking the value of R&D data," said Andrew Anderson, Vice President of Innovation and Informatics Strategy at ACD/Labs. "While life sciences organisations have made progress in eliminating data silos and digitalising processes, the diversity of instrumentation and workflows presents challenges. Many labs face the new problem of normalising and contextualising vast amounts of generated data for secondary use by data scientists and AI. We are committed to supporting our customers and evolving our software to meet their needs."
The updated Spectrus Platform enhances ACD/Labs’ offerings for pharmaceutical process development, chemistry manufacturing and control (CMC), and high-throughput experimentation (HTE). This version replaces outdated technologies, such as spreadsheets, with more sophisticated solutions. Key enhancements include support for accelerated stability studies to determine shelf life and drug expiry, improved integration with third-party software for seamless data management, and the introduction of integrated AI tools to assist lab scientists.
For over a decade, the Spectrus software suite has provided scientists with processed, organised data from various instrument vendors and analytical techniques. Researchers use these tools for structure elucidation, process monitoring, quality control, and compound identification and quantification. Version 2024 introduces improvements in qualitative and quantitative analysis using NMR and MS, enhances analytical data visualisation, and streamlines collaboration through better data management. Automated structure verification (ASV) capabilities are also improved to boost lab productivity.
ACD/Labs continues to expand its suite of browser-based tools for analytical data handling, significantly enhancing the functionality of both Spectrus Processor JS and Spectrus Manager JS.
