PFAS Analysis

Analysing PFAS is the process of detecting and measuring the concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a group of man-made chemicals known for their persistence in the environment and in biological organisms. These chemicals are widely recognized for their potential adverse health effects and environmental impact, leading to increased regulatory scrutiny and monitoring. Analysing PFAS is challenging due to their complex structures, diverse sources, resistance to degradation, and prevalence at low concentrations in various matrices (water, soil, biota, etc.), requiring multiple specialist instruments to arrive at an accurate assessment.
