EO Technology Development Funding
Jan 07 2014
The new Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation and Space Technology (CEOI-ST) has announced on behalf of the UK Space Agency the 7th EO Technology Call for Earth observation instrumentation and related technology research and development projects. The total budget available for the Call is £1,500K, with additional PV funds required from industrial bidders. The Call is now open and will close on Tuesday 4th February 2014 at 12.00 noon. Full details are available on the CEOI web-site at www.ceoi.ac.uk.
The CEOI-ST continues the work of the CEOI, which was established in 2007 in order to realise an excellent, internationally competitive national Earth observation instrument and technology research and development programme.
This Call is seeking proposals from consortia of industrial and academic partners, from both the space and non-space sectors, to develop technologies for the next generation of Earth observation instrumentation. The majority of the funding will be used for projects which address the following themes:
- Leveraging UK investment in Europe
- Achieving higher TRL through demonstration
- Development of Technologies for Future Bi-Lateral EO Missions
It should be noted that additional PV funds are required from industrial bidders.
The next joint Conference of NCEO and CEOI-ST will be held from the evening of Tuesday 24th June until Friday 27th June 2014
