New UK and European Sales Managers Appointed

Syngene is delighted to announce that it is strengthening its European presence with the appointment of Dr Martin Biggs as its new Sales Manager for UK and Ireland, as well as Rob van den Broek as its new European Sales Manager.
Martin Biggs has over 15 years’ experience in sales, product and marketing management within major life science equipment companies, Harvard Bioscience and GRI, where he supported both analytical imaging and electrophoresis equipment. Martin’s commercial expertise is underpinned by a PhD, in BioScience and Biotechnology from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland and a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth, UK.
Dr Martin Biggs said: “The current Syngene products, such as the PXi are very exciting new developments. I am very pleased to be working for such an innovative UK company and am looking forward to helping keep up Syngene’s phenomenal reputation for great support of its UK and Irish customers and distributors.”
Rob van den Broek has held senior sales and marketing positions at major life sciences imaging firms including UVItec, UVP and UVIKON for the past 14 years. Through his work, Rob has built specific technical expertise in supporting DNA and protein imaging systems, as well as microscopes. Prior to this, Rob was a service engineer for eight years and also holds a degree in electronics from Versfelt MTS Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
Rob van den Broek commented: “I always thought the Syngene and Synbiosis products were excellent quality and have wanted to work for this group of companies for a while. When the opportunity arose for this new position, I was delighted to join. I’m going to enjoy supporting customers in the Netherlands and providing our distributors in Europe with the tools and techniques to help them.”
Paul Ellwood, Global Sales and Marketing Director of Syngene concluded: "We have recently launched and will continue to introduce a pipeline of exciting new DNA and protein imaging products over the next few years. To do this we want to develop our European presence so are delighted to facilitate that by adding two first-class new sales managers to the Syngene team.“
