Science Park Welcomes Three New Organisations

A forensic investigation practice, national Health and Social Care charity and biomedical innovation firm have moved into the awardwinning Liverpool Science Park bringing the number of organisations based at the Park's two centres to 65. Afentis Forensics offers a broad range of services including computer and telecommunication analysis, audio-visual exhibit assessments, DNA profiling and firearm studies and claims to be the only forensic provider that makes its own software. Managing director Ross Patel said: "Innovation is at the heart of modern forensics - engineering unique solutions to complex evidence. Our move to the innovation centre shows our continued commitment to
excellence in the Criminal Justice System."
The Huntington's Disease Association with over 8,500 members, actively supports people their families and friends; this year the charity has allocated £100K into research of the disease, and has recently invited projects for
breakthrough therapies for the treatment of the disease to apply to the fund. Chief Executive Cath Stanley, said: "As a growing organisation Liverpool Science Park meets our needs perfectly. It has a central location, professional tone and a friendly feel to the Park community." The third newcomer Pioneering start-up company Med Epad Ltd is receiving support from early-stage venture capital firm SPARK Impact, in developing a revolutionary mobile internet device with the potential to dramatically improve patients' health and social care. Founder Rob Connell said:
"Having visited Liverpool Science Park several times over the past few months my impression of the location, layout and overall feeling of professionalism within the science park left me in no doubt as to why I would want to start my business here."
