50th Cap for Sebia
May 06 2009
Sebia UK is celebrating the placement of its 50th automated capillary electrophoresis instrument at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire. Exponential sales growth since the launch of Capillarys in 2001 demonstrates the increasing acceptance of this technology and steady progression from traditional agarose gel electrophoresis, said the company.
Capillarys, with a continuous sample feed that can process up to 80 samples per hour is ideal for use in high throughput laboratories, while the more compact Minicap, which can process up to 22 samples per hour can meet the needs of smaller clinical diagnostics laboratories, Martin Hurl, Sales Manager at Sebia UK commented: “We are thrilled with the success of Capillarys and Minicap. With some customers already using second generation instruments, it can be seen that the advantages of capillary electrophoresis are now widely recognised. As a global leader in automated clinical electrophoresis, Sebia provides diagnostic laboratories with continuously improving technology, trusted to produce only the highest quality results.”
