Second Milestone in China with New Demo Lab

Oct 14 2010

Cisbio Bioassays announced that it has established a new technical support and service laboratory (the HTRF demo lab) in Shanghai, China, thereby reinforcing its business operations in one of the world’s fastest emerging pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.

The HTRF demo lab enables Cisbio Bioassays to provide enhanced drug discovery services to its pharmaceutical, CRO and academic laboratory customers in China and surrounding areas. Services include seminars on the principle of HTRF technology, custom labeling and assay development, troubleshooting and problem solving, particularly in the areas of G-Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) and kinase investigation.

Situated at the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, the hub of the multi-national pharmaceutical industry in China, the HTRF demo lab was set up in collaboration with China’s National Centre for Drug Screening (NCDS), one of
China’s leading drug screening centers. The NCDS is affiliated with the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), a leading drug development research institute, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Cisbio Bioassays has been steadily increasing its presence on the Asian continent and, in November 2009, established sales offices in Beijing and Shanghai, China to make its HTRFbased GPCR and kinase technology tools, including IP-One, cAMP and Cellul’erk assays and the Tag-lite® cell surface receptor platform, available to local customers.
