MonoLine IDS: Cost-Effective Measurement of pH, Conductivity and Dissolved Oxygen with IDS Sensors
Mar 05 2014
WTW, a Xylem brand, has launched their new MonoLine series of handheld instruments: pH 3310 IDS, Oxi 3310 IDS and Cond 3310 IDS.
Based on the IDS technology these meters work with sensors that process the raw signals and send them digitally to the meter. Moreover this, each sensor has its own calibration memory so sensors can be exchanged without re-calibrating.
The MonoLine series is cost-effective for customers who need to measure only one parameter but want to work with the latest digital measurement technology. The meters are perfectly suited for field measurement or mobile applications. They are waterproof according IP 67, have a rugged design and a keypad that can be operated even with gloves. The backlit LCD with a clearly structured menu makes operation easy and secure.
Various IDS sensor for pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen provide best measurement quality by processing the sensor signals directly in the sensor. The raw signal is converted into a fail-safe digital signal which is sent to the meter together with sensor description, serial number, calibration status, and other parameters.
The pH 3310 IDS supports the QSC qualification of IDS pH electrodes, a unique function that allows an exact tracking of the sensor condition over its life span. IDS conductivity cells carry their cell constant – no guessing, no errors. And the optical dissolved oxygen sensor FDO® 925 is perfectly suited for field and laboratory applications as well.
For special applications WTW provides various cable lengths for measuring down to 100 m water depth.
