New Standards set in Body Composition Monitoring

May 11 2013

Monitoring the effectiveness of a weight loss or physical activity programme has never been easier or more accurate, with the MC780MA Multi Frequency Segmental Body Composition Analyser from Tanita.

The MC780MA uses the very latest multi-frequency technology to record a comprehensive range of measurements in just 20 seconds, from segmental fat and muscle mass to basal metabolic rate, visceral fat levels and total body water from your core abdominal area, each arm and leg.

A full body composition analysis will give you and your clients a base to start from and each subsequent reading can be used for long term assessments and progress reports. This will give you the chance to assess how effective the weight loss or physical activity programme is for each and every client, set progressive targets and modify the program according to their results.

This detailed information enables clients to see even the smallest changes happening to their body, motivating them to continue with their programme and work towards their end goal. It also allows you to educate clients on the importance of looking beyond BMI or weight only that cannot show changes in body composition as muscle increases and fat decreases.

The MC780MA is accredited with NAWI Class III and MDD IIa, has a weighing capacity of up to 270kg and auto calibrates before each and every analysis, ensuring optimum reproducibility of measurements. Numerous published clinical studies have proven Tanita BIA technology to be highly accurate and repeatable in a wide selection of cohorts including adults and children.

All results are shown on an easy-to-read, extra large LCD display console that can be reversed for confidential readings, or when very obese clients are using the scale.

The in-built SD card facility can store over 10,000 readings on a 2GB SD card, and allows data to be automatically collected and downloaded at your convenience. You can also wirelessly transfer data to a PC or Windows tablet. A consultation sheet can be printed automatically for further discussion.

The Client Identify feature allows for client body composition progress to be effortlessly recorded and analysed.
