Reactor-ReadyTM Pilot Lab Reactor

Nov 26 2013

The new Reactor-Ready Pilot from Radleys is a universal pilot scale jacketed reaction system which has been designed for use with a range of vessels from 5 to 20 litres. Developed following the incredible success of the smaller bench-top Reactor-Ready lab reactor (100ml to 5 litres), the Pilot system offers many labour saving features not normally available in larger scale systems like this.

The beauty of Reactor-Ready Pilot is that this one reactor workstation can replace multiple frameworks, saving fume hood space and costs on multiple set-ups. A range of interchangeable process vessels (1.25 to 1 ratio, which mimic plant scale reactors) makes Pilot ideal for process development, scale-up, pilot and kilo labs. The patented vessel collar and clamp design allows different vessel sizes to be loaded into the single framework, the lid attached and stirrer aligned in just minutes. All vessels operate across a temperature range of -70°C to +230°C.

Other features include quick-release clamp and hose couplings which allow rapid vessel change-over, without the need for tools. Wide bore hose and vessel connections offer maximum flow rates and heating/cooling performance, with innovative hose manifolds for easy thermofluid drain down during vessel exchange. Additionally, a novel self-aligning stirrer coupling allows the overhead stirrer to engage with the stirrer for powerful stirring up to 800rpm.

Reactor-Ready Pilot is supplied with castor as standard but feet are also included, allowing the system to be in a fixed position or mobile. The adjustable stainless steel framework incorporates a spirit-level for fine levelling and a range of clamps, accessory glassware, baffles and drip trays which mean Reactor-Ready Pilot can be customised to meet the needs of almost any process laboratory.
