Panasonic’s Dual-Cooling Freezers provide Ultimate Sample Security
Dec 04 2012
Thanks to the incorporation of two independent refrigeration systems, Panasonic dual-cooling freezers are engineered to deliver the maximum security essential when storing irreplaceable and high value biological samples in an ultra-low temperature environment. This makes them especially well suited for biotechnology and biopharmaceutical applications.
Panasonic’s MDF-U700VX dual-cooling freezer, for example, reliably maintains a uniform -86ºC ultralow temperature environment. However, should one cooling circuit malfunction for any reason, the second system acts as an immediate backup to keep samples safe at around -70ºC until full function can be restored.
Not only does this protect precious samples it also means that inconvenient and expensive emergency or out of hours call-outs can be avoided.
For long-term efficiency, filter-less condensers eliminate routine filter cleaning while Panasonic’s intelligent ECO Mode function matches compressor operation with freezer running conditions, optimising the cooling process and minimising energy use.
Ease of use for the operator is essential and central door-mounted LCD display panels enable intuitive programming of set points and clear confirmation of freezer status. An on-board data logger provides a quick an easy check on the freezer’s recent performance. All of this is supported by a comprehensive alarm system, a vacuum release port for smooth door opening, and quiet operation.
