Titration goes digital

Oct 01 2019

Connect your SmartChemicals with your titrator for improved data integrity & efficiency.

A new titration technology, using Supelco® SmartChemicals, transfers data seamlessly to your titrator. Just a brief touch on the reagent bottle saves time, reduces errors and secures the data transfer.

Copying data from certificates of analysis is slow and creates chances for errors, these new SmartChemicals eliminate time consuming steps and human errors by transferring all data wirelessly and instantly to the titrator software. All relevant data from the Certificate of Analysis of your SmartChemicals (including volumetric solutions, Karl Fischer titrants and all standards) are stored on the RFID tag.

Just a simple touch transfers all data in seconds

All information required for method execution, result calculation and documentation are seamlessly transferred along with product name, article number, lot/batch no, concentration/assay, shelf life/expiry date. For standards, additional data, including molecular weight, supplier, uncertainty and compliance according to Pharmacopeias and ISO Guide 34, are also transmitted.

Previously opened chemicals are also recognised, the initial opening date is stored in the RFID tag and is shown on the touchscreen, and expired chemicals are automatically locked from use.

Just a brief touch of the RFID tag on the SmartChemical bottle label with the SmartReader connected with your METTLER TOLEDO titrator conveys all data in seconds to the titrator software.

SmartChemicals are compatible with the METTLER TOLEDO Instruments:

  • Excellence titrator models T5, T7, T9
  • Compact titrator models G10S, G20S, V30S, V20S, V10S

Benefits of using SmartChemicals

  • Secure data transfer – ensures complete and correct reagent & standard data in the titration software
  • Ease of use – intuitive operation and convenient data transfer in one touch
  • Extended quality management – titer determination, shelf life, compliance data, and initial opening date are all recorded
  • Improved efficiency – fast data transfer saves time with no manual writing and no four-eye principle necessary
