ROTAVISC facilitates Viscosity Measurement

After it's been produced, stirred and shaken, the viscosity of a sample can now be measured with the new ROTAVISC viscometers from IKA. This parameter indicates the fluidity of a substance and is important for quality control in all manufacturing processes and even early on in the application in the research laboratory. Regardless of a simple or demanding viscosity measurement – ROTAVISC delivers rapid and accurate results. It is the most functional viscometer in its class.

Easy to operate

The generous 4.3'' TFT display allows for an intuitive menu guidance. It shows all relevant data such as viscosity, torque, rotational speed, shear stress, shear rate and density. A digital spirit level also supports the correct set-up of the start-up condition. The simple ramp function simplifies repetitive tasks. ISO spindles can be attached in the way that is most convenient for the operator: with thread adaption, quick connector or hook connector. The starting and stopping of a measurement can be defined individually: With a timer, once a certain torque has been achieved, or once the viscosity has been measured. The software Labworldsoft® 6 Visc enables any number of program and data recordings.

Highest measurement accuracy

The level of measurement accuracy of the ROTAVISC rotational viscometer for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids is +/- 1 % of the measuring range. The reproducibility is +/- 0.2 %.

Stepless speed

ROTAVISC is a viscometer, which offers stepless speed adjustment from 0,01 to 200 rotations per minute.

Scope of delivery

As the viscosity of a sample is always dependent on its temperature, a temperature sensor is always included in the scope of delivery. Additionally, an ISO standard spindle set, a protective bracket, quick connector, hook connector and ROTASTAND stand. Advanced packages include labworldsoft® 6 Visc software to combine and control multiple devices such as ROTAVISC, ciruclator and measuring device. The viscometer is delivered in a practical transport case.

  1. ROTAVISC lo-vi Complete/ Advanced: 1 – 6.000.000 mPas
  2. ROTAVISC me-vi Complete/ Advanced: 100 – 40.000.000 mPas
  3. ROTAVISC hi-vi I Complete/ Advanced: 200 – 80.000.000 mPas
  4. ROTAVISC hi-vi II Complete/ Advanced: 800 – 320.000.000 mPas
