Metrohm and Cetac Make a Winning Team

Aug 14 2012

Cetac Technologies is proud to be a part of Metrohm’s success in the 4th Annual Laboratory Equipment Readers’ Choice Awards. Readers of the journal Laboratory Equipment voted for the top innovations across several technology categories. Metrohm’s new 898 XYZ Sample Changer, developed in part by Cetac, took first place in the category ‘Automation Systems’.

Cetac and Metrohm came together in 2010 to develop a new automated titration system that could handle large sample series with high precision. The result was the 898 XYZ Sample Changer which provides plenty of space for 82 samples and the 898’s high operating speed means that users save considerable amounts of time in routine analysis.

“Close cooperation with Cetac was essential for us to get the 898 XYZ Sample Changer to market in less than 12 months,” said Heike Risse, Automation Product Manager for Metrohm. “Never before had we been able to integrate a sample changer so quickly in the Metrohm environment.”

The 898 XYZ Sample Changer is built upon Cetac’s flexible 7000 series OEM autosampler platform. This platform is designed to be easily configured to any OEM’s specific application with a range of sizes, movement options, and sampling technologies. In addition, Cetac offers a choice of base platforms to expand the range of options available to OEM customers.

Since 1993 when they were first approached to design a robust and reliable autosampler, Cetac has prided itself on a solution-driven approach to customer service. Today, Cetac has partnered with over 50 manufacturers and has more than 15,000 instruments installed in dozens of industries - and those numbers continue to grow.
