Hydraulic Presses for Laboratory Applications on show at Pittcon 2014

Carver, Inc is exhibiting at Pittcon 2014 in Booth No. 3913 from 2-6 March at the McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.  Carver is a leading manufacturer and supplier of standard and custom hydraulic presses for laboratory applications such as pelletising, lab testing, pharmaceuticals, liquid extraction, cell disruption, laminating, specimen preparation and other applications. 

Carver’s full line of two-column and four column benchtop, manual and automatic hydraulic presses offer clamping capacities from 12 to 30 tons.  The Auto Series press line includes a 48 ton model in 3 platen sizes, 15” X 15”, 18” X 18” (for general purpose applications), and 19” X 19” (for ASTM D3182 rubber test slab preparation).  An ‘NE’ digital control system also features full touch screen interface. 

Carver also offers the Monarch Model CMG28-12-PCR-X proppant Crush Test press to meet critical demands of ISO 13502-2:2006 with excellent cycle repeatability.  For use with frac sand, resin coated sand and ceramic proppant, it provides compression force from 2 to 28 tons within a 2.5% deviation.  A proportional hydraulic system is able to apply a constant rate of 3.8 MPa/min.

A wide variety of laboratory accessories, including force verification kits, heating and cooling platen options, repair kits, gauges and thermometers, safety shields, floor stands and power units are also available.
