Etest® Range now available in Individually Wrapped Strips

bioMérieux, a world leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, has introduced a new option for its popular Etest® antimicrobial susceptibility testing range, offering individually packaged test strips for the first time. The Etest Single Packs offer greater flexibility for improved stock management and reduced overall costs.

Etest Single Packs contain 30 individually packaged strips, and are designed to avoid the need for storage of open multipacks of test strips, simplifying laboratory logistics and improving product stability. Currently available for 24 popular antimicrobials – with a further 10 due to be introduced over the coming months – each test strip is supplied in a clearly labelled, easy-to-open blister pack. Etest Single Packs offer improved long-term storage under standard conditions (-20 to +8oC) compared to open 100 strip multipacks, with every blister pack containing desiccant to maximise stability. This avoids the need to discard spoiled, unused test strips – particularly for smaller laboratories – and offers improved process security by virtually eliminating the risk of cross-contamination.
