Arablab 2010
Apr 30 2010
The world’s analytical industry converged on Dubai from 9-12th January 2010 to attend the 27th Arablab Exhibition. 8720 visitors – including trade professionals, practicing technicians and distributors – from 72 countries attended the show, where they could meet with the 721 exhibitors from 43 nations. There were national groups from Austria (6 companies), Switzerland (8), Spain (9), Korea (14), United Kingdom (39), China (43), and Germany (109), whilst from the UAE there were 46 companies exhibiting individually, and 119 principals with their UAE agents. Independent international exhibitors totalled 328. Complementing the exhibition itself was Arablab’s packed seminar programme – covering more than 70 topics – that offered invaluable opportunities to gain information about the latest developments, as well as a convenient forum for discussion and networking.
Announcing plans for 2011, organiser David Domoney, commented: “Over recent years the show has enjoyed an annual growth which has been consistent, but to us this was not sufficient. It was vital that we incorporated new elements of the show that have a wider appeal to the industry including: working laboratories; hands-on seminars; VIP suites; dealer meetings; and trade association presentations.” Domoney added: “2011 will be a landmark year for the show, as we will be adding 20% more space in brand new state of the art exhibition halls, but more importantly we will be moving the event to the month of March - a factor that will enable more visitors to schedule the show on their travel itineraries.”
The International Labmate Group supports most of the leading trade shows, however, the annual growth of ARABLAB and its ability to attract such an international buying audience is truly unique.
Arablab 2011 will be held from 7-10th March at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. As the industry’s only major international exhibition during 2011, the event will be held in the Centre’s new Sheikh Saeed Halls, offering even better facilities as well as some 15% more space than this year’s show. Demand is already high with 75% of exhibitor space already booked for next year and 56% of the UK Pavilion already taken.
