Take A Fresh Look At Viscosity Measurement with Hands-On Training
Aug 30 2014
Brookfield offers two hands-on courses, the Practical Course on Viscosity Measurements and the Lab Day/Advanced Viscosity Test Methods. These courses are designed to help users comprehend the functionality of their instrument, solve the mysteries of fluid behaviour, and create successful and repeatable viscosity test methods for use in both R&D as well as QC. Consistency is vital in the success of any product and understanding viscosity is a key part to maintaining that quality control.
The courses are offered at Brookfield’s headquarters in Middleboro, MA and in major cities across the United States. Space is limited and customers are encouraged to sign up early. ‘On-Demand’ courses are conducted at the customers’ facilities or at Brookfield’s headquarters.
Practical Course on Viscosity Measurements is a one-day course designed to help you get the most out of your Brookfield viscometer and rheometer measurements by providing you with information, activities and techniques that you can easily understand and use. Discussion topics include how to pick a spindle/speed combination as well as calibration and verification checks. It is designed for beginner to intermediate users.
Lab Day/Advanced Viscosity Test Methods is a one-day, advanced course that focuses on the customer’s interests, formulations and processing problems. Attendees are encouraged to bring samples which will be reviewed to determine ‘best practice’ methodology for making viscosity and related rheological measurements including: yield stress, shear rate ramps, viscosity vs. temperature profiles, creep and viscoelastic behaviour. This course is offered at Brookfield’s facility in Middleboro or at the customers’ location. It is designed for the intermediate to advanced users.
