Broad Range of Laboratory Refrigerators, Freezers and Environmental Chambers
Jan 06 2011
Laboratory refrigerators, laboratory freezers and environmental chambers in sizes from under-the-counter to triple-door standing models are now available from Tovatech, based here. Manufactured by Norlake, these laboratory units are used for blood storage, plasma freezing, pharmaceutical refrigeration, stability testing and laboratory incubation chambers.
“Norlake refrigerators and freezers used for blood bank and plasma applications lock for security and meet all applicable industry standards,” said Tovatech Director Dr Rachel Kohn. “All models, regardless of capacity, carry premium features necessary for critical blood storage.” Stringent requirements for drug stability testing or BOD applications are fulfilled with Norlake stability chambers for pharmaceutical and biological laboratories. “The company’s incubators deliver the same premium temperature control provided in their refrigerators for biotechnology, tissue cultures and other microbiological studies,” Dr Kohn said. “Humidity control options are available on certain models.”
Flammable storage refrigerators, enzyme freezers, and very low temperature freezers offer features tailored specifically to the specialised requirements of this type of equipment. “Examples include locks, alarms, and manual defrost to eliminate automatic temperature cycling,” Dr Kohn said. “Chromatography refrigerators provide easy access for set-up and operations and their improved air-flow design delivers the fastest temperature recovery in the industry.” Routine and heavy-duty laboratory refrigerator units are designed to minimise the effect of door openings and changing loads. All units are environmentally responsible without CFCs and many are Energy Star qualified.
