WWEM 2014 to Feature Gas Detection Zone
Oct 14 2014
Technologies and products capable of detecting toxic and flammable gases in the workplace, or low oxygen levels in confined spaces will once again feature strongly in the Gas Detection Zone at WWEM 2014, the Water Wastewater & Environmental Monitoring event (Telford, 5/6th November 2014), will again feature a Gas Detection Zone focus on new technology and products to detect hazards such as exposure to low oxygen levels in confined spaces and to toxic and flammable gases in the workplace following the popularity of this section at previous WWEM events.
The Council of Gas Detection and Environmental Monitoring (CoGDEM), which is helping to organise the zone, will also be featuring its new ‘Guide to Gas Detection Book’.
CoGDEM’s Leigh Greenham said “This year there will be stands featuring gas detection technology as well as associated products and services, in addition to a wider range of free workshops covering topics such as ‘bump-testing versus calibration’, ‘confined space entry’, ‘VOC detection’ and much more.”
Leading gas detection equipment manufacturers the WWEM Exhibition this year include Industrial Scientific (ISC), Air Products, Alphasense, ATI, BOC/Linde, Draeger, GMI, Geotech, GfG, Infratec, RAE Systems, Riken Keiki (RKI), Scientific & Technical Gases, Shawcity and Sira.
WWEM organiser Marcus Pattison is delighted with CoGDEM’s participation. He said: “With so much taking place during the two days, WWEM 2014 will be a hive of activity, but with free entry, free parking and free lunches and refreshments for pre-registered visitors (www.wwem.uk.com), we have made it easier to make the most of time spent at WWEM 2014.”
