Veolia Water Technologies UK Announces New Chief Services Officer

Paul Stevens has joined Veolia Water Technologies UK (VWT UK) as Chief Services Officer. The role appointment comes at a time when the organisation is set to further expand its portfolio, invest in its people and strengthen its position as the leading solutions provider of water treatment technologies and services.

Paul brings 28 years of valuable experience within the industrial and medical sector with him. He will lead the delivery of services across all market sectors and will be based out of VWT’s new Birmingham office.

Paul began his career as a field service engineer for Olympus, a global producer of consumer, industrial and medical products. He eventually went on to lead Olympus Technical Services across the UK, Ireland, Middle East & Africa in addition to an expansion of the UK based business activities into the USA. More recently Paul was tasked with replicating the UK business success by leading a transformation programme across Europe.

This experience, success and aptitude for technical and regulatory service provision, will prove crucial in his new role. “VWT UK has a long history of delivering high quality technologies, services and technical expertise across a wide range of sectors. I feel my knowledge will help to further expand the services we offer and increase collaboration across VWT UK. I’m passionate about helping the wider team to deliver even higher productivity and customer satisfaction levels.”

This strategy has been underpinned by the recent acquisition of Biochemica Water Ltd as well as a restructure and investment within VWT UK’s municipal water service activity. Now, key service offerings including field technical, water treatment and digital services are being brought closer together and better aligned with services such as the AQUAVISTA™ digital platform. With increased field teams as well, VWT UK provides industry leading coverage and response.

Paul concluded: “Customers within the scientific, healthcare and other market sectors can now benefit from a much larger team of specialists, where the day to day sharing of knowledge and collaboration will help to ensure we provide the right support. Our aim is to help customers to reduce environmental impact and maintain water quality in the most cost-effective way. I’m looking forward to helping generate value and improved service outcomes at a time when the industry needs it most.”
