Thailand LAB's 10th-Year Celebration Goes Hybrid

VNU Asia Pacific is thrilled to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL on the 28th to 30th of October 2020 at BITEC, persisting to be one of Southeast Asia’s leading exhibition and conference on analytical laboratory technologies, life sciences and biotechnology innovations. This is also in response to the rising need for knowledge exchange on the latest innovations for COVID-19 detection and ramping up of lab infrastructures to accommodate increase in clinical testing, biotech developments and vaccine discoveries.

Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL will launch the “Hybrid Edition” for the first time ever to increase the accessibility of the trade fair to participants from across the globe. The show goes to the next level by extending business matching opportunities and access to conferences through a user-friendly online platform. Furthermore, Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences or TCELS will be the main co-host for organizing “Bio Asia Pacific 2020”, a virtual conference themed on “Pandemic Resilience” for this year, with important highlights to be broadcasted through an online platform and also live at Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL.

This year, there is an open center stage of the exhibition hall called "Bio Square," where robust activities like the Opening Ceremony, thought leadership sessions, networking function, start-ups pitching, fireside chats, and visitor lucky draw will be held to deliver mind blowing experiences for all of our trade participants.

Moreover, a Visitor Survey was conducted recently to assess the local market’s readiness to take part in trade fairs again. The survey gathered positive results: 83% of the participants intend to visit the physical exhibition in October at BITEC and 77% of them will attend physical seminars and conferences.  An outstanding percentage of 90% are most likely to engage in the online platform services that will be featured in the hybrid edition. And most importantly, the top purpose of their visit according to the survey results is to buy product and services, which supports our main objective of facilitating a marketplace at the show.

Last but not the least, over 20 partners including government agencies, professional associations and research & academic institutes are going to support Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL by holding their physical conferences and inviting their members/affiliates to visit the show. These include Department of Science Service (DSS), The Association of Medical Technologists of Thailand (AMTT), National Food Institute (NFI), Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), Virology Association, Biosafety Association, Biotech Industry Club under Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and more.

The New Normal in LAB Exhibition

The safety of all of our trade participants is our utmost priority. In close cooperation with BITEC, strict hygiene and security procedures are going to be implemented throughout the entire show. Measures such as mandatory usage of masks at all time; scanning of QR code of Thai Chana, the government mobile application to Check In/Out and regular cleaning and sanitation of common areas are going to be strictly observed. For security reason, the capacity of the people per square meter of the exhibition hall will be set at 1:4 and will be monitored by heat maps installed in different areas.

VNU Asia Pacific believes that Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2020 will drive growth to the Asian laboratory market despite of ongoing travel restrictions through the hybrid platform. We are happy to welcome you physically and virtually! Pre-registration is now open thailandlab / bioasiapacific.
