Dr. Marc Stricker appointed new Managing Director at Lauder

World-leading constant temperature technology company Lauda Dr. R. Wobser GmbH & Co.KG has announced the appointment of Dr. Marc Stricker (43) as Managing Director. The PhD engineer, who is running the company together with CEO, Dr. Gunther Wobser (44), is responsible for control of the Operations, Research & Development, Information Technology and Quality Management divisions and coordinate international development activities of the four locations. As Chairman of the Management Team, Dr. Gunther Wobser, who has been with the family-run company for almost 20 years now, will be responsible for the Finances & Personnel, Marketing Communications areas, the three divisions of Constant Temperature Equipment, OEM and Heating and Cooling Systems as well as the 11 foreign subsidiaries. In addition, Dr. Wobser, a graduate of Business Administration, will become CEO of the new company, LAUDA Scientific, which will market measuring instruments from 2015 onwards.

Before joining the company in October 2014, Dr. Stricker was CEO of the important supplier, Speck Pumpen Walter Speck GmbH & Co. KG near Nuremberg formerly Project Director at Viessmann Werke in Allendorf. Dr. Gunther Wobser is looking forward to working together with him: "After the death of the company founder in 1977, LAUDA was always managed in tandem, and even as a trio for some years. After my father, Dr. Gerhard Wobser, left the management in March 2010, other companies were added and both turnover and employee figures grew enormously. In addition, we created new structures so that the burden of responsibility could be shared out across several shoulders. Together with my international team of managers and with Dr. Marc Stricker at my side, we will be able to further improve our processes, impress our customers with bright innovations and successfully continue the growth strategy we started.

For Dr. Marc Stricker, this new job is exactly the challenge he was looking for. "I have known the company of LAUDA for a number of years now, mainly through my work with a key supplier. I am impressed with its dynamism and ability to innovate. Constant temperature technology has enormous potential for growth and is very close to my previous area of expertise, being thermodynamics. I can immediately put my extensive experience in research, development and production to good use. I'm looking forward to working with a new staff of 420 all over the world, as well as with Dr. Gunther Wobser in particular, whom I have also known and held in high esteem for a number of years now."
