Gyros Protein Technologies Appoints Peter Luk as Vice President, Asia-Pacific

Gyros Protein Technologies AB have announced the appointment of Peter Luk as Vice President, Asia-Pacific. Peter’s appointment marks a significant step in the expansion of the newly formed company into the Asia-Pacific region, in line with its strategy outlined at the time of merger.
Peter has over 25 years of life science business experience in Asia. Most recently he was General Manager of ProteinSimple, Asia, where he increased revenue in Asia more than four-fold over a period of five years. Prior to that Peter was Vice President, Asia-Pacific of Molecular Devices, and he has also held various management roles at PerkinElmer, Packard Biosciences and Bio-Rad Laboratories in the Asia-Pacific region. Peter holds an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from the University of Leeds, UK, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the City University of Hong Kong.
Established in March 2016 by the merger of Gyros AB and Protein Technologies, Inc, Gyros Protein Technologies combines Gyros’ microfluidics, systems development and immunoassay expertise with Protein Technologies’ deep knowledge in developing and manufacturing instruments for peptide synthesis. The Company will provide customers an unrivalled range of sample prep, synthesis and bioanalytical tools for biotherapeutics discovery, development and bioprocessing.
