Acquisition adds to pipeline of core international business

Elkay Laboratory Products (UK) Ltd, a distributor of laboratory consumables, instruments and services has been acquired by Calibre Scientific, further enhancing the US company’s presence in the United Kingdom. With headquarters based in Basingstoke, Elkay Labs, which provides a range of products for liquid handling, specimen collection and storage storage, biobanking, filtration and centrifugation, as well as calibration services to a range of domestic and international institutions and organisations, serves a diversified customer base with end markets that include clinical, academic, industrial and environmental applications. This product offering, combined with its after-sales service and support adds a scalable laboratory distribution operation to Calibre’s portfolio, which has a global reach to more than 175 countries.
