Jun 26 2015
The UK is one of the science sector’s biggest innovators, and this year Manchester has taken top honour. In 2015, the Northwest English metropolis has been crowned the ‘European City of Science’ and will play host to mmc2015, the annual Microscience Microscopy Congress. From June 29 to July 2 2015 the event will bring together a myriad of high profile names from across the globe. It’s one of the biggest scientific conferences in the world and covers a variety of disciplines, including the cutting edge areas of microscopy and imaging.
Cutting edge innovation
When it comes to showcasing equipment, services and training mmc2015 is Europe’s largest event. Attendees can explore an array of state-of-the-art inventions designed to generate accurate and reliable measurements. Precision is an integral part of science and engineering industry and the mmc2015 celebrates all things exact! Over 100 companies will be on-hand to demonstrate products and services that have been specifically engineered to improve and enhance measurement.
Microscopy in the spotlight
One of the key areas the conference will be shining the spotlight on is light, electron and scanning probe microscopy. Both life and physical sciences will be explored in a series of six daily sessions. These will include content from the EMAG, SPM and Frontiers in Bioimaging meetings, as well as feature guest presentations from six international Plenary Speakers.
Attendees wanting to develop an in-depth understanding of the conference and trending topics are invited to sign up for the Pre-Congress workshops held on June 29. The sessions will address current and popular issues, as well as encourage dynamic group discussions and hands-on involvement.
A scientific free for all
The best thing about the mmc2015 is the fact that it’s a 100% free exhibition that’s open to all. From industry professionals to individuals utilising microscopy as part of academic endeavours, mmc2015 offers insight, understanding an up-to-the-minute overview of all the latest microscopy and imaging innovations.
mmc2015 training opportunities
As well as a glimpse at the latest industry innovations the exhibition also offers attendees a multitude of exclusive training opportunities. Both the commercial workshops and the Learning Zone will run daily sessions covering the basics of microscopy and how the discipline can be practically used within the industry. Find out more about these learning opportunities in this Free Training and Workshops at mmc2015 guide.
For those who can’t make it to Manchester, or for attendees who simply want to expand their networking and discussion contacts mmc2015 will also be hosting a series of satellite events.
