Mini-Mill for Smallest Sample Quantities
Nov 06 2009
The new Mini-Mill PULVERISETTE 23, manufactured by Fritsch for the smallest quantities, fits everywhere, grinds any sorts of solid samples, looks good and is user-friendly and affordable. The speciality of the new Fritsch Mini-Mill PULVERISETTE 23 is fine comminution of very small-quantities of dry laboratory samples or solids in suspension, mixing and homogenisation of emulsions. Sample quantity up to 5ml and maximum sample particle size up to 6mm. This mill is ideal for sample preparation, for example, for chemical analysis, chromatography, mass spectrometry or X-ray structural analysis. It can be used for preparing samples for genetic research, for homogenising of active ingredients, preparation of extracts in the forensic analysis and milling of pigments or other precious materials.
The PULVERISETTE 23 is also specially suited for the assessment of biological samples and for cryo-comminution of deep freeze or refrigerated soft samples. Vertical oscillations of the grinding bowl with high amplitude, generates a particle-size reduction through the impact of the grinding ball and friction between ball and grinding bowl wall. Performance features include: smallest sample quantities < 5ml; simple handling; easy cleaning of the grinding elements; rapid, reproducible grinding; small grinding bowl volume; low contact surface area with grinding elements; quick fastening of the grinding bowl; oscillation amplitude 9mm; adjustable and reproducible grinding time; adjustable stress frequency; and compact and affordable.
