New Dispenser Specially Developed for use in Trace Analysis
Jun 05 2012
The new dispenser VITLAB® TA from Vitlab GmbH is the dosing device of choice to meet the demanding purity standards required in trace analysis.
Since the results of trace analysis should never be affected by contaminated media, the components that are in contact with the fluid path are carefully chosen and constructed of the highest purity materials combined with an excellent chemical resistance, such as PFA, PTFE and sapphire. The VITLAB® TA is very robust and extremely reliable. The release of trace metal ions can be reduced to the low ppb range, or, depending on the application, even the ppt range, if the conditioning process for the dispenser as described in the user manual is followed.
The new dispenser can also be deployed with highly concentrated acids and bases, such as perchloric, sulphuric and nitric acid. In addition, VITLAB® TA replaces the dispenser HF, since it is also suitable for dosing hydrogen fluoride (HF) and bromine. Depending on the application, there is a choice of two different valve spring systems: The VITLAB® TA with tantalum spring is recommended for dosing of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). For applications using sodium hydroxide (up to a max. concentration of 30%) or hydrogen fluoride (HF) we recommend the platinum-iridium spring. In order to minimise the loss of valuable reagents or sample solutions, VITLAB offers the dispenser with the optional recirculation valve.
The dosing unit of the new VITLAB® TA consists of a positive displacement plunger with a PFA sealing lip. This specially developed plunger system prevents crystallisation built-up and thus reduces cleaning effort. The modular construction of the device makes it simple to clean and maintain, as well as allowing you to easily replace the dosing unit without the need for tools. The replaceable dosing unit is delivered calibrated and with a quality certificate.
The VITLAB® TA covers the volume range from 1 to 10ml at precise 0.2ml intervals.
