Touch the Future of Gel and Blot Imaging with the ChemiDoc-ItTS2 Imager

Feb 01 2012

UVP, LLC announces availability of the new ChemiDoc-It®TS2 810 Imager for capturing chemiluminescent, fluorescent, colorimetric and multiplex gels and blots. The new imager simplifies user workflow with the integrated touch screen and user-friendly capture software. Users can simply touch the Live Preview button to immediately see an image sample on the large 15.6" screen. The exposure, aperture, zoom and focus settings can be adjusted with a touch of the convenient control panel. All settings are clearly displayed on the screen. The built-in computer creates a networkable, stand-alone system allowing users to save images to a USB stick or to a remote computer for further analysis or documentation. Users of the new ChemiDoc-ItTS2 can:

 • Optimize gel and chemiluminescent blot imaging with the highly sensitive 8.1 megapixel resolution, cooled CCD camera. This scientific grade camera with class-leading sensitivity enables shorter exposure times in fluorescence and chemiluminescence applications.

• View low light samples in the light-tight darkroom which creates an optimum environment for viewing chemiluminescent blots.

Select additional components as required for specific imaging applications. The modular design allows selection of optional UV transilluminator, emission filters, LED white light plate and UV modules. The UV transilluminator is available in single or multiple UV wavelengths and filter sizes up to 25x36cm. The transilluminator is placed on roll-out tray for easy placement of samples.A black chemi tray with non-reflective surface enables imaging of chemiluminescent samples such as Western Blots. The easy access filter wheel is conveniently located on the side of the darkroom and holds up to five emission filters. An ethidium bromide filter is included as standard. The LED white light plate supplies uniform white light transillumination for samples such as Coomassie Blue and Silver Stain. The UV modules mount into the darkroom for either 365nm or 254nm epi UV illumination.

For imaging applications requiring wavelengths for excitation of NIR or multiplex samples, add the BioLite Multispectral light source which supplied powerful directed epi illumination into the darkroom. A wide range of excitation filters are available to meet research requirements. Once samples are placed in the system, users can view them through the UV blocking window without opening the cabinet door.

According to Mike Capps, UVP Marketing Product Manager, "The introduction of the all-new ChemiDoc-It TS2 marks a new generation of simplicity and imaging control for researchers. The Imager successfully combines a powerful, integrated touch screen software interface into an easy-to-use plug and play unit. The image acquisition functions are presented in a straightforward and efficient workflow format allowing the user to spend less time hassling with equipment and more time conducting research and analysis."

The new ChemiDoc-It TS2 Imager with the integrated all-in-one computer and touch screen enables users to quickly capture high resolution gel and blot images.
