Range Science Cameras: FLIR RS8500 & RS6780
Long-range thermal imaging can be key to accurate data collection in harsh environments and open-air test range applications. Researchers on these projects need cameras that can characterize fast thermal transients on high-speed targets, offer enhanced sensitivity and spatial resolution, and have advanced triggering and synchronization features. The Teledyne FLIR Range Science (RS-Series) line of cameras deliver on all of these requirements and more to improve the quality of data while saving time and frustrations inherent in long range, dynamic data capture environments.
Choose the camera that's right for your research:
FLIR RS8500: High-Definition Images, Longest Zoom Range
The FLIR RS8500 MWIR infrared camera system is a high-performance, 1280×1024 resolution thermal camera combined in a single weatherproof housing, specifically designed for applications including open-air test range measurement and tracking, as well as aerospace. Simultaneous data and video output options allow the camera to be easily integrated into the most demanding data acquisition systems.
RS6780 Range
The FLIR RS6780 MWIR camera is a 640×512 resolution, high-performance thermal science camera and continuous metric zoom lens combined in an IP65 enclosure used for research in harsh environments. Designed for scientists and engineers, the RS6780 is a radiometric infrared camera with available factory calibrations that can capture at up to 4,000 frames per second, making it an ideal system for dynamic long-range measurement and tracking applications.
