V-Korr blimey!  Teknomek expands its autoclavable range

With the continuing popularity of autoclave sterilisation, Teknomek, a leading provider of hygienic furniture and equipment, has responded by expanding its range of autoclavable equipment.

The autoclavable range now includes stools and chairs with V-Korr seating as well as autoclavable mats and sterile baskets.

So, why V-Korr for autoclaves?  Sue Springett, Commercial Manager at Teknomek, explains: “Autoclaves are particularly popular due to their suitability for deep cleaning re-usable items such as stainless steel furniture and their capacity to quickly destroy spores and bacteria through its combination of heat and steam.  While our 304 and 316 grade stainless steel products are tough enough to cope with the autoclave’s hostile cleaning, the qualities of V-Korr are more comfortable than the 100% stainless steel counterpart.

Sue continues: “The V-Korr seat has a generous diameter of 310mm. There’s a greater height range too, with a column adjustment of 470mm-732mm. The stool’s 5-star stainless steel base comes fitted with glides, but you can opt for stainless steel castors if you prefer, as well as a foot ring for added comfort.”

However, if the V-Korr chair doesn’t take your fancy, Teknomek offer both a stool and a chair manufactured from 100% stainless steel which can be fully dismantled for sterilisation in an autoclave. With an all stainless steel construction, this chair and stool can withstand the high temperatures within an autoclave, whereas equipment with silicon tubing can deform when subjected to this sterilisation method.
