CO2 Incubator for Every Cell Culture Application

Jun 10 2020

The CO2 incubator, developed and produced by Wiggens, is ideal for the cultivation of animal cells, sperm/ovum, anaerobic cells, all sorts of microbe cells, hatching/germinating and special tissues.

This high quality CO2 incubator offers fast heat up, fast-recovery and stable control. The electric heating wire is covered on all sides of the chamber allowing warm air from this wire to be stored within the space between the chamber and insulation. All of this design makes for stable uniformity and provides fast heat-up and temperature recovery. Additionally, dry wall with insulation does not require regular maintenance. The heater on bottom warms the water in the tray and creates humidification. A circulation fan delivers the moisture formed from the water to the entire chamber. The front door heater and frame heater prevents condensation in the chamber and on the glass door (for lower gas consumption and lower heat loss, an optional glass door in 5 or 6 regions is available).

The integrated DUAL BEAM IR CO2 sensor provides fast and precise detection for CO2 gas regardless of temperature and humidity. A CO2 regulator and analyser is also available. The alarm system sounds a buzzer to warn users of low or high CO2 deviation and temperature.

Two different sterilisation units are available: A 4W UV lamp installed the side of the top fan is standard, and a dry heat sterilisation unit is optional.

The stainless steel shelves are optimised for natural airflow and are resistant against rust and contamination. Heating is automatically cut by safety device when the temperature control fails or there is excessive heating over the set point. Entire chamber is made of stainless steel with rounded corners to allow easy cleaning.

Incubator volumes range from 40L to 850L and are perfect for laboratory work. Wiggens also provides a mini CO2 incubator, the WCI-15R, which is economically priced and features a compact design for personal use, with a carrying handle for portability (car plug available).
