Comet Assay Iv Free Trial Now Available

Specialist supplier Perceptive Instruments Ltd has introduced a fully featured evaluation version of the successful Comet Assay IV software system, allowing laboratories immediate access to a free 30-day trial. Comet Assay IV? is an interactive live video-based software system for measuring DNA damage and repair using the single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE) technique.

The comet assay is now one of the standard methods of assessing DNA damage, and uses fluorescent microscopy to examine this at the single cell level in a wide range of applications. These include genotoxicity testing, ecotoxicology, clinical diagnostics, food processing and nutrition, mechanistic research, and health and safety testing.

Comet Assay IV's new Click &Score? scoring method ensures unrivalled, rapid, reliable and user-friendly comet analysis. With full audit trails, configurable Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) options and tiered program access levels, the software is designed to be fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Final Rule on Electronic Records and Electronic Signatures.

The download includes a user guide with a tutorial on how to get started, score cells, save data and review audit trails. Representative images are included to evaluate the scoring process. Alternatively the trial program can retrieve images captured with any existing camera.
