‘In a Spin’ with the new Micro and Clinical Centrifuges from Nickel Electro
May 04 2016
Nickel-Electro Ltd is an independent family owned, UK based manufacturer, offering a range of new micro, micro refrigerated and clinical centrifuges in a variety of sizes and specifications.
The Refrigerated Micro Centrifuge is a must-have for molecular and cellular work, with a max speed of 17,000 RPM. It’s ideal for spinning down temperature sensitive samples with cooling to -20°C. Also on offer is a Mini Micro Centrifuge – the perfect compact table top model with easy to use touch pad, wipe clean controls with digital display of speed and time.
The Micro Centrifuge has a 100 program memory and is a compact tabletop unit. Both the Micro and Refrigerated Micro Centrifuge have speed displayed in RPM or RCF. The separate ‘pulse’ mode found on all Clifton centrifuge models allows for quick spin.
All Clifton centrifuges are supplied with angle heads suitable for micro, cryo or PCR tubes and have built in timer mode of ‘at set speed’ for counting running time only when the unit has reached the set speed. Parameters can also be changed whilst the centrifuge is in operation. There is an auto lid release when rotor stops.
