The sustainable solution for sample storage
Aug 09 2024
Micronic’s Eco-Friendly Choice (EFC) Racks are crafted from 99% in-house renewed material (RM), setting a new benchmark for sustainability in sample storage. Ideal for laboratories committed to a greener future, these racks represent the next step toward environmentally responsible lab practices.
The EFC Rack Range is constructed from scrap material sourced directly from Micronic’s production facility in the Netherlands, and are a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainability. During the injection moulding process, suitable residual material is carefully separated for renewal. Rigorous quality control ensures that there is no compromise in the quality or integrity of the renewed material, matching the standards of racks made from virgin materials.
The EFC RM Racks are currently available in a 96-well format, suitable for four different tube sizes: 0.5ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, and 1.40ml. With a temperature range that spans from vapor phase LN2 to +100â°C, these racks meet a wide variety of laboratory needs. Additionally, the entire range integrates with automated storage systems and liquid handlers, thanks to its adherence to the standard ANSI/SLAS (American National Standards Institute/Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) dimensional footprint. Each EFC Rack is equipped with a cover and lockers made from virgin polypropylene, ensuring reliability in every aspect.
Micronic’s products are manufactured in a certified class-7 clean room environment at facilities in both the Netherlands and the United States. Additionally, Micronic’s labware equipment is assembled in-house, maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
