Innovations in Bottle Top Dispensers

Aug 24 2015

A study conducted by Microlit’s R&D on conventional Bottle Top Dispensers available in today’s world market revealed the following facts: different types of dispensers are being offered for different chemical compatibility, such as, organic, inorganic (HF excluded); in some popular dispensers, volume adjustment is done by screw type mechanism that is very cumbersome to use and also has high failure rate; glass pistons are being used which are not only fragile in nature but also have piston jamming problem when dealing with crystalline solutions; some companies use glass pistons with protection coating on it. Known limitation of protection layer is its mechanical fragility, scratches, swelling and even peeling in some extreme cases; limitation of ground glass piston is to guarantee its smooth guide in the barrel. Scratching of barrel may result if excessive force is applied or particles are stocked between piston and barrel; delivery tubes have fixed angle not providing any flexibility to change the delivery angle of the dispenser, which is often required in laboratory conditions; all manufacturers use delivery valve with spring inside it. Non-usage of dispenser may result in deposition on the spring causing valve jamming; very highly priced.

Microlit addressed all the above factors and developed BEATUS bottle top dispenser incorporating following special features: BEATUS has PTFE Piston with Viton Extreme O-Ring placed inside it in such a manner that it maintains the seamlessness and also provides the desired flexibility for smooth, wiper like movement inside the glass barrel; a simple design requiring 180 degree turn of the knob anticlockwise or clockwise to unlock and lock, to set the volume; wetted parts being FEP, PTFE, and Borosilicate glass this dispenser has very good chemical compatibility; Microlit has designed a unique springless valve that is a step forward to eliminate the spring and all problems related to it. It not only ensures long-term trouble free operation but also enhances chemical compatibility; angle of delivery nozzle can be changed to adjust dispensing angle, a very useful feature in practical working of the instrument in laboratory conditions;

BEATUS is a unique combination of features addressing all limiting factors of currently available products at competitive pricing, making it an obvious choice for the user.
