Lauda extends Ultracool circulation chillers with compact unit types UC2 and UC4 for the use in chemical applications
With the new generation of Lauda Ultracool circulation chillers, Lauda Dr R Wobser GmbH & Co KG offers ultra-modern recirculating chillers that have been developed with a focus on energy efficiency and in compliance with the European Eco-design Directive. Extensive technical innovations and a significantly increased range of functions characterise the different Lauda Ultracool unit types. Lauda is a manufacturer of temperature control devices and systems for more than 65 years, working globally.
Energy efficient and cost saving
The temperature control specialist is now expanding its portfolio of circulation chillers to include the UC2 and UC4 unit types. These compact chillers were specially developed for requirements in the low cooling capacity range of 3 - 6 kW cooling capacity. The Ultracool line of units thus covers the entire performance range from applications in the laboratory to industrial applications with high cooling capacity requirements. With a wide performance range and a temperature stability of 0.5 K, the process circulators increase the process reliability of the cooled system and, with an operating temperature range of -10 - 35°C, can be used in a wide variety of applications. At the same time, the units perform reliably even under adverse ambient conditions and temperatures. By using a speed-controlled compressor, fan and electronic expansion valve, modern Ultracool circulation chillers are up to 50% more energy-efficient than conventional, non-ecodesign-compliant recirculating chillers, depending on the operating conditions.
The digitisation of the laboratory
Lauda Ultracool circulation chillers can be conveniently monitored and controlled remotely - via a connected remote control or the integrated web server using a PC or laptop and even via smartphone, tablet & co. Through a connection to Lauda.live, unit data can be stored, analysed and used for remote maintenance. The extensive connectivity offers full control through control systems or mobile devices. Lauda.live is the beginning of a series of new digital products from Lauda. All Lauda temperature control and laboratory solutions become fully connected and intelligent IIoT devices. Lauda.live offers comprehensive asset management functionality, even for devices without IIoT connectivity, smart analytics and monitoring tools, as well as sophisticated control and remote troubleshooting capabilities that maximise the uptime, reliability and performance of all Lauda devices.
Lauda.live Fleet Management allows customers to professionally manage their asset base. Keeping track on maintenance requirements, warranty state, location and status of the device creates a completely new level of transparency and eases lifetime management of any asset. A direct line to the Lauda service support hotline and serial number specific support documentation will fasten any troubleshooting case.
Powerful monitoring and analytic features support the new user experience, creating most benefit out of the temperature control solutions. Maximising performance, optimising the application and globally access to the asset data helps users to monitor their production process, from home or travelling. Lauda dedicated service personnel are available to assist remotely if a machine breaks down and quickly diagnose the measures to get the system running again. World market leader Lauda is currently rolling out Lauda.live to more and more customers and are working to constantly add new features to the digital products.
Ready for any customer requirement
Lauda Ultracool circulation chillers cool precisely in an extended operating temperature range from -10 to 35°C with a temperature stability of ±0.5 K. The protection class IP 54 allows outdoor installation, and fan control as standard guarantees operation at ambient temperatures down to -15°C and reduces noise emission. Lauda has been able to reduce the footprint in comparison with equivalent previous models. All the new Lauda Ultracool circulation chillers can be optimised for any customer-specific requirement thanks to numerous options such as speed-controlled pumps or flow meters. The bi-frequency power supply (50/60 Hz) enables worldwide use.
