Partnership adds potential for additional commercial progress
Dec 16 2021
Life sciences software solutions provider Labviva has announced a strategic supply partnership with Gilson that will see the laboratory instruments manufacturer’s liquid handling, purification and extraction systems become readily available to organisations, including large pharmaceuticals, research institutions, and biotechnology firms, directly from Labviva’s procurement platform.
As well as offering access to Gilson’s portfolio in a manner similar to a B2C e-commerce experience, the platform also integrates with e-procurement applications such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, JAGGAER Procure-to-Pay, and Coupa. This enables suppliers like Gilson which offer their products on the company’s platform access to information on purchasing trends and product performance.
"Labviva helps Gilson access new markets through their private marketplace capabilities,” said Peter Fleskes, Head of Gilson Distribution Partnerships-Americas. “It also allowed us to significantly reduce catalogue onboarding time, which increases our time-to-value.”
With its range of pipettes, pipette tips, pipette accessories, lab systems and benchtop devices available through a worldwide distribution network, advantages for Gilson include interaction with additional commercial markets and increase exposure in existing accounts.
“Labviva helps connect scientists to suppliers across all categories of life sciences research,” said Siamak Baharloo, CEO and Co-Founder of Labviva. “Gilson is recognised as a leader in their space and we are excited to have their portfolio available to our pharma and academic customers.”
Labviva was founded in 2017 by life sciences industry veterans Baharloo, Aaron Miramontes, and Nicholas Rioux. Gilson was founded in 1957 and remains family owned. Over 5000 Gilson products are available on the Labviva marketplace.
